This technique focuses on the importance of taking time for you!

What does it mean to have fun? It is different for each of us.

It can be enjoying a great novel or movie. Maybe you love painting or taking a dance class. For other people, it might be running, yoga, cooking, or sports that require concentration, such as golf, tennis, or basketball.

Your idea of fun may be taking a walk in nature or spending time with your partner, family or friends.

No matter what you like to do, when we do something that brings us joy, it takes our mind off our “to-do” lists, our problems, and our worries. In the process, that can boost our spirits.

Some people easily make time to do something they enjoy each day

They tend to realize that it makes them feel energized and at their best. However, many of us tend to let our work or other responsibilities get in the way of taking time for our own self-care. We want to have more fun but convince ourselves that we can’t. We feel guilty about taking time for ourselves.

But think about how it feels when you go too long without doing something you truly enjoy, just for fun. It’s easy to feel deprived, distracted, overwhelmed and stressed.

It may sound strange, but building in breaks and doing fun things may help you accomplish more and feel better at the same time
